Technical Department (DT)

The Technical Department works to guarantee the safety of all flights, ensuring that airlines comply with air safety regulations and proposing operational improvements that reinforce them, based on the experience and knowledge of the pilots themselves. And, how do they carry out this task?

By monitoring and reporting on compliance or non-compliance with safety laws, in collaboration with Sepla’s trade union sections and Aeronautical Consultancy, so that flight safety is not compromised.

Proposing to authorities, airlines and other aviation institutions initiatives to reinforce safety based on the experience, knowledge and professional skills of pilots.

Representing and defending the voice and interests of pilots in public opinion and in national and international civil aviation legislative bodies, so that aviation safety legislation is informed by the opinion of technical professionals.

Participating in national and international working groups that bring together aviation professional groups to identify areas for improvement in aviation safety.
