Sepla takes part in IFALPA’s Annual Analysis and Accident Prevention Committee held in Israel

Sepla Sindicato de pilotos participa en el Comité Anual de Prevención de Análisis y Accidentes de IFALPA en Tel Aviv

Sepla’s Technical Department participated in IFALPA’s Annual Analysis and Accident Prevention (AAP) Committee, held in Tel Aviv on 18, 19 and 20 October and organised by ISRALPA (Israeli pilots’ association), with the aim of improving the safety of air operations.

Raquel Gabarra, Iberia A320 co-pilot, collaborator of Sepla’s Technical Department and accident investigator, and Lucía Aránega, Iberia A330 and A350 co-pilot and also collaborator of Sepla’s technical department, were part of the expert committee made up of airline accident investigator pilots from all over the world and the most important aircraft manufacturers in the industry.

For three days, IFALPA’s Annual Analysis and Accident Prevention Committee worked together to review completed and published investigations of real accidents and incidents in the aeronautical sector, with the aim of issuing recommendations that will be useful to improve the safety of air operations.

This annual event, brought together representatives from Airbus, Boeing and Embraer, along with accident investigator pilots from Canada, the United States, France, Ireland, Austria, Finland, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Germany, Israel and Spain.
