The AlbaStar Union Branch was established in 2022 and secured its first labor agreement in June 2025. In September of that same year, it joined Sepla with a clear priority: to sign a collective bargaining agreement that would guarantee the rights and interests of the company’s pilots, with an eye toward the expansion planned by the company’s new owners.

The airline was founded in 2009 with the aim of offering on-demand air transport services, in collaboration with leading Spanish, Italian, and European tour operators. In 2014, it opened its hub at Milan Malpensa, expanding its bases to Palma de Mallorca, Bergamo, and Madrid. In the past, it established itself as the leading airline for travel to Lourdes. It currently works for various tour operators across Europe and has begun providing ACMI services.

Since 2019, it has been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Its current fleet consists exclusively of Boeing 737NG aircraft, and it plans to double its fleet.
