Action Guidance in the event of drone sighting and laser beaming
SEPLA and USCA launch action guides addressed to pilots and air traffic controllers in case of interference by laser beams or drones’ sighting during an aerial operation.
March 6, 2019
The Spanish Pilots Union (SEPLA) and the Union of Air Traffic Controllers have worked together to develop an action guide for pilots and air traffic controllers to face two of the most important threats to aviation in recent times: laser beams and drones.
Both unions, representing the two mostly affected professions by these issues, want to highlight the need for regulation and control by the aeronautical authorities to put a stop to these threats.
